Playgroups
At present, there is one playgroup catering to pre-school children. It is important to note that it is a playgroup where the emphasis is, structured play, as opposed to a nursery where a curriculum is followed. The group operates as a creche, with parents able to leave enrolled children at the playgroup for a few hours several mornings a week.
There is a likely to be a long waiting list so it would be wise to make contact and enroll your child before you arrive.

Preschool, primary and secondary education (Tripoli)
There are several schools in Tripoli catering to international students. Classes range from pre-school through to Secondary School. Pre-school admissions begin at 3 years, with the exception of the International School who offer a pre-nursery class for 2 year olds.
If you have not already registered your child on the waiting list, it is highly advisable that this is one of the first things you do when you arrive in Libya. Nursery and reception classes in particular are limited, therefore speedy attention to this will be beneficial. The best way to do this is to make an appointment to visit the school and make your application in person.
