There are many fitness groups that meet on a regular basis.  These include touch rugby, fitness training, basketball, tennis, swimming, pilates and yoga. The classes at Regatta and Palm City are aimed at residents but may be open to non-residents. Classes at the Bustan Hotel are open to all.

Arebi Diving Centre

Arebi Diving Centre provide lessons for experienced and novice divers, the complete beginner, singles or groups and welcome non-divers on all of their dive trips (space permitting).  Arebi Diving center is open all year round. There are two local dives per day, plus weekly day trips to the wrecks, offering a wide choice for divers of all levels of ability. Shore dives are also available.

Al-Hilal Rugby Football Club in Benghazi

The Al-Hilal Rugby Football Club in Benghazi are currently looking for people who are interested in playing rugby (both 15s and 7s).  They welcome players of all levels of experience, whether you have played some professional rugby or just like to play in your free time.  The team welcomes Libyans and expats and the team speaks English.

Janzour Horse Riding Centre

Scuba Libya

Where: Within the Janzour Tourist Village.

Scuba Libya offer swimming and diving courses for children and adults starting from Bubblemaker for kids up to ‘Dive Master’, as well as Introduction Dives for people who want to try out diving.  All courses conducted by multilingual diving instructors (English, French and Arabic).

Squash

If you have a squash partner, the Bustan Hotel has recently opened a squash court which is available to non-residents and non-members of their club.  You can book a day pass (including gym) for one hour in the squash court at a cost of LYD30. But if there are no other bookings you can stay longer. You can borrow racquet and balls for a returnable deposit of LYD20.

Tripoli Rugby Team

The Tripoli Rugby Technical Committee invites you to join the Tripoli Rugby team to learn and play the game of Rugby at our new location in Hay-Andolus. 

The Tripoli Rugby team (formerly known as the Tripoli Barbarians) is looking for new players willing to learn and play or even coach rugby. It's all free of charge and open to ages from 18 to 81.  Join us and let's have fun playing Rugby on weekends.

Wind and Water Sports

Those interested in watersports might want to pay a visit to PuraVida Wind & Water Sports.  Established in 2010 it is the first kite surfing shop in Libya located in the heart of Tripoli.  Along with the shop PuraVida is operating a Kite Surfing School with experienced IKO Certified Instructors.  PuraVida cater to outdoor watersports, be it kiteboarding, windsurfing, wakeboarding, Stand Up Paddle Boarding to name a few. Fueled by a passion for kiteboarding and armed with a wide array of combined skills, they have established an elite crew and a world-class kiteboarding center in Libya.
