Expatriate homes in Libya range from apartment style living to modest self contained homes with a small garden (such as those found in the various compounds), right through to large homes, often with a swimming pool within a private garden.

Before packing, make sure you check with your relocation contact what the size of the property you will be in is likely to be. Some companies provide fully furnished apartments or houses, while others provide an initial guest house while you get on your feet and select your own property.

Settling into a new life
