The artist Jeni Caruana, who came over to Libya last November to show her works and launch painting holidays in Malta is planning to return to Tripoli in May.
She will be running two intensive short courses in drawing for absolute beginners and those who want to sharpen their skills, also covering the very basics of watercolour painting.
The classes will run for 5 mornings 9th - 13th May, 9.30 - 12.30 in Janzour Lyd 290 / £150 /170euros or a weekend workshop 14th / 15th May in Suraj 10am- 5pm (including light lunch) Lyd 240 / £120 / 140 euros. All materials are included in the price of 166 euros (£147).
Jeni contends that everyone is able to learn to draw well enough to enjoy themselves - becoming an 'artist' takes a little more practice!!
Jeni has been tutoring painting holidays and private classes in Malta for many years; she worked for Malta Art Painting Holidays for 8 years and was featured on the BBC's Holiday Programme in 2001. Using tried and tested techniques she is able to give complete beginners the confidence to create their first works of art, and also to help more experienced students to expand their knowledge. There will be a maximum of 10 students in each class.
To book, please contact Jeni on jentambia@waldonet.net.mt or Jenny Fenton fentonjenny@hotmail.com
